Model Mixed-Use Zoning District Ordinance

The meeting of the Planning Commission on Tuesday, January 15, beginning at 7:30 at WSEC is for the purpose of defining mixed-use. This should be easy to determine, since mixed-use is clearly described in the planning literature.

The Model Mixed-Use Zoning District Ordinance from the Model Smart Land Development Regulations adopted by the American Planning Association and published in March 2006 states:

"Mixed-use Building" means a building that contains at least one floor devoted to allowed nonresidential uses and at least one devoted to allowed residential uses.
